BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Sound Broadcasting Equipment Show grew from the annual Independent Radio Chief Engineers annual conference held at the IBA Headquarters in Winchester.

As it grew it moved and was based for many years in a Birmingham hotel and eventually moved into the Metropole Hotel at the NEC and from there into halls at the NEC.
